About the Course

Who Should Attend:

Anyone who is interested in accounting, including both operating and managerial staff, business owners, investors, and shareholders. The course assumes no prior knowledge of accounting, hence there are no specific pre-requisites.

Course Objectives:

This course will provide participants with an introduction to financial accounting and financial statement analysis.

Course Trainers

Dr Justin Chircop

Dr. Justin Chircop is a Certified Public Accountant and Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Malta. Prior to reading for a PhD in Accounting at Lancaster University, Dr. Chircop worked in the financial advisory department of several large audit firms. Over the last 10 years Dr. Chircop has lectured modules in financial accounting and financial statement analysis. Dr. Chircop has published academic articles in top accounting academic journals and has been invited to present his research at the most renowned international accounting conferences. Dr. Chircop is on the Editorial Board of several accounting academic journals and is frequently tasked with reviewing academic papers for the top international accounting journals.
